leisure battery where to get one

Post by stiffler105 »

hi folks i was looking for advice on what leisure battery fitted my 84 devon t25 last week, and i have found one at last which fits the battery box under the passenger seat, the company is called alpha batterys ltd in rochdale,01706 356356,the battery comes with 3year warranty next day delivery is 285mm long 175mm wide and all important 175mm high which means the battery box lid shuts and the seat slides back no problem,i recieved mine today and im well chuffed with the service they provided, the battery in question is reference 12v25,80ah 600cca deep cycle at £54.99 which i thought was pretty good value, hope this might help some one one day cheers stiffler.

That is a good price -esp with delivery. I went for the Elecsol ( http://www.alternativeenergystore.co.uk ... attery.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) - which although a bit longer lasting ( 100aH ) is a lot more at £90.They do say it will last for many more charge / discharge cycles - but practically how often will that matter? I does fit in the underseat compartment - but I dont have a lid on mine - and with one it probably wouldnt fit. Again - a good find - I am looking for another so will give this one a go - cheers

Or you can just get a used car battery from the scrappers and use that. Works well. If you want the same amps as a lesuire battery, then use two scrappy batteries and plug them up together (positive goes to positive, neg to neg) with posts.
