Flat battery

Post by 1989T25 »

Hi all. I have a problem with the battery. Its a new battery which holds its charge for 2-3 days, if I turn it over daily theres no problem. We had a new radio cd player with mp3 fitted a while ago. Its a face off type. On occasions when we have left the face off on we have got into the van the next day only to find that the radio is on and the battery flat. First i was told perhaps the leisure battery is knackered and its draining the drive batery down so we disconnected the leisure battery. It makes no difference. If we are away and plugged into the leccy we dont have a problem. I put the battery on charge today at about 8am and gave it about 10 hours charge, fitted it on the van all the ignition lights came on I turned the key and it just clicked. Any suggestions on what the problem could be. Thanks, Martin

Have a look at this thread.......... the reply from BOXY is pertinent.

Could also search for 'Battery Drain' (or similar) in the search box at the top right of this page.
