Pathetic, my garage would have done that for free whilst checking the alignment! Most garages will do that for you and, being very simple, only charge you a few quid. Anyway, takes but a few turns of a screw to adjust the headlight aim. Park nose first against a wall (evening time best), and andjust the offending beam to match the correct one height wise. Look at the headlight (might be easier with grille off but not sure it is essential on a T25). Two adjusting screws, one at about 1 'o' clock and the other about 7 'o' clock. Screw bottom one 'out' and top one in a tad if necessary. Take it for a drive and the nearside beam shoiud point into the kerb but both beams should strike the ground at roughly the same distance away. Trial and error if you do this your self but not exactly 'rocket science'.
The main beam bulb is more of a problem as the miniature bulb is not easily obtainable and most folk replace with a subsitiute. Either way, you will need to remove the dash Pod which is secured by 4 screws, the speedo cable (unclips with a squeeze), the multi pin connector (accessed from under the dash and the light switches. Sounds daunting but very simple and takes a few minutes to do. Dash pod out, remove the warning light panel cover (two screws) and carefully lift the menbrane PCB towards you. All the LEDs and the main beam bulb will be visible in their sockets. The main beam bulb usually breaks up when trying to remove it so take care with bits of broken bulb.
Thanks for that, I was a bit put out that they didn't just adjust the headlight for me, but sound like I can do it myself ok in time for the free retest.
