elec connections to sender

Post by jaylo264 »

Being sadly deficient in the electrical knowledge dept , i wonder whether the coolant temperature sender i just replaced on my 1.9 DG wbx 1986 ( it blew out on route to the MOT ! ? ! ) is "handed " in any way , should have asked the rac man when he passed it to me ; i.e. which wire goes to which tiny terminal, or does it not matter , like a light bulb ?
Don't want to run it up again to bleed the thing etc till the sender is sending .
Ta ,
