ball joint replacement any idea how much £??

Post by Therunner »

the van we were doing up for our friend needs a front suspension ball joint
doing for the mot,. can anyone please give me an idea what it might cost just to get the one
replaced so i can prepare myself for what this total bill's going to come to  ??? our garage is a fairly
reasonable one i think, but i'm more than a little worried
many thanks

(& if it matters, it's an early van 82..)

The tricky parts the socket heads that screw down into the balljoint carrier from the upper wishbone, if they undo it's a P.o.P. often though the heads are made of cheese and they eaily round off ... introduce heat though and they soon surrender
