Re: pushrod tube seals 1.9 watercooled
There's 2 routes ....
Route 1 ... involving the valve rocker shaft assy off, exhaust off
,remove rod cover shield(s), head(s ?) off (the words can and worms spring to mind
) renew waterjacket seal(s), barrel o-rings and anealed gaskets, replace tube seals.
Route 2 ... involving remove the valve rocker shaft assy, rod cover shield(s), pushrods out, destroy old tube(s) install (expensive) telescopic pushrod tube(s) with new seals.

Route 2 isnt as bad as it sounds. Have a go just make sure you have the telescopic tubes and rubbers for the ones that leak first, take off the tinwear and rocker cover, take the two bolts that hold the tappet things on off, pull the pushrods out, rip the old tubes out, put the new telescopic ones in and rubbers, put the pushrods back bolt the tappet thingys back, rocker cover back, tinwear back, start the van and let it run like a bag of shizer for ten minuites till the tappets reajust themselves and roberts your farthers brother.
Oh and put your location in our profile you never know someone may live near you that can give you a hand.

and make sure you seat the pushrods back in the tappets correctly. I thought i had but van ran like a bag of "pooh" took them out again and made sure I did it right the second time.

Did you do this? I think I have a similar problem with mine and would be interested to know how you did it in the end.
Cheers.
