Campervan Digital Ariel

Post by pocolow »

Has any one got any suggestions for an Aeriel for my van that would pick up digital TV, as at the moment the Aeriel I have is useless unless you are camping next to the transmitter. :?:

We have a TV/DVD set-up, mostly for Grand Prix and those wet days when the girls can't play out but also for in a late evening when it's gone dark and we can sit under the awning and all watch a dvd.

We have a cheapo 'dead fish' aerial ... i.e. it's modelled to look like a Tom & Jerry fish skellington ... that works in 99% of places.

Thanks guys for the suggestions , so it's a toss up between "a dead fish" and a "Twatalight dish"...o boy all this technical jargon is scrambling my brain.

I've just bought one of the Maplin's Outdoor Digital Hairyholes @ £19.99 (see Matt's link) but I havn't had time to test it yet. Only delivered yesterday & it was persisting down. :)

The one shown in the pic is the best I have ever tried and available from any camper/caravan accessory shop. I got one in the garage doing naff all as I have 'twatellite' (so I can watch football 'twattelites' like the Arsenal).

Would you be up for selling your aerial if you're not using it ??? I certainly would be interested :D .Mark.
