Double Din Stereo

Post by Aberdeenbus »

Hi,

Just a thought after seeing a recent install of one of those all singing all dancing CD/DVD/TV/SATNAV things in a friends car which had a double din sized slot.

I was wondering given the diffculty we have fitting a single din stereo in our vans has anyone seen a double din fabrication, I must say after seeing what this thing can do in one box (albeit at a cost) Im sorly tempted to find a spare dash and get cutting.

Anyone done or seen anything similar.

Cheers
Si

Rather than cutting the dash[unless that sort of thing doesn't bother you], find a deck that has the screen that comes out when turned on.

I have only seen one fitted into a tee 3 and the original was blanked in and the double din thing was a built up hump placed back and around where the ashtray is, it was an angle so u could see the screen better. Looked cool but hard work!! :ok
