Hi Neil,

On ETOS I counted 26 different part numbers for the front harness, which is a lot, but none of the descriptions mentions the rev counter, so I think its safe to assume they all have the green rev counter wire. The other signals should be in all harnesses too.

As its petrol any later (about 1986>>) petrol revcounter dash should be a streight swap. You'll have all the wires aready as the dash pod uses a tach signal for the buzzer of doom system, unless someones messed with it.

Change the complete dash pod for one with a revcounter, that way you don't have the clock ajust bollox in the way, you gain the digital clock in the middle, revcounter has the right fuel and temp segments (they all use the same senders) and most importantly you get the printed circuit foil for the revcouter module. Transfer your switches and speedo from the old pod. You can get a pod off a 2WD as its only the speedo calabration thats different.

If the digi clock has blead, which they sometimes do, pay less for the dash pod and then get the digi clock bit from a mk2 golf, they are the same apart from green backlighing instead of white (you can eather carefully take the tint strip out behind the screen or get the tint strip from the rest of the golf pod to pimp the whole dash green).

Rev counter is a straight swop over and as far as I know the digi clocks are no longer available and fetching big money on E Bay.de Some golfs and Siroccos use the same unit

According to ETKA it says "Dropped on 1/11/2007 without replacement." Looks like it cost somewhere around £50 when avalable anyway so the golf route is a good one.

Just cross referanced them and the T3 clock part number is exclusive. The car clock part number matches the following...
Golf/jetta/caddy mk1
Golf/jetta mk2>>1989* (*1991 for syncro) (the later cars seem to have the clock on a big PCB that goes behind the rev counter, if its small it'll fit!)
Polo mk1/mk2 (ie round lamps)
Passat >> 1988
Scirocco mk1/2
Car with MFA computer have a completely different dash innards so don't bother with GTi's - probubly want a GL as low spec have big analog clocks instead of revs, surprise surprise!

My van has a Scirocco clock in it so I know they fit fine, its just the ilumination colour that differs (I turned my dash green with the big colour strip for the rest of the instrements too so I know thats easy to do as well, probubly better than risk breaking a clock to make it white, plus it looks better.)
