Caliper piston - Brake binding

Post by AngeloEvs »

Front nearside pads locked as I drove into work and wheel was too hot to touch. Removed the pads and inspected the piston. No corrosion and moved it in and out several times till it moved relatively freely. Got home after a hundred mile drive and hub cold but is this likely to be a collapsed hose rather than a sticking piston? Its the single sliding caliper set up.

You are never going to know till it happens a again......All I can suggest about the flexy hoses is if you suspect they may be a fault then replace them as they are not an expensive part to purchase and are easy enough to fit.....
