Water vapour from exhaust

T25 1900 1987 water cooled
When I start with choke I get water vapour and some water (condensate?) dripping out of the exhaust. Once the van is warm and running there is not water or smoke. The engine has done 50k and the van runs really well - I cannot see any emulsified oil around the fill cap (haven't checked further down the tube) or any leaks around heads. I have replaced coolant, thermostat and temperature guage sender.

Should I be concerned ???

When you changed the coolant, did you put the correct amount of the correct type of antifreeze / corrosion inhibitor in it ?

I think what the others are saying is water is a normal by-product of the combustion process, and as your engine runs on a richer mixture when cold and the exhaust system is still relatively cool, more water can be seen (when the engine/exhaust is fully up to temperature much of this water turns in to vapour/steam so is less visable)
The important question here is and if you are really worried that there is more to this: is it using coolant? has your coolant level needed topping up more than usual? if there hasn't been any sustantial loses and there are no visable leaks, you have absolutely no reason to worry.
