Fitting Aux fusebox. Where is best?

Post by sirivor70 »

Hi there. Fitting a leisure fuse box to my Westy (87).

Was figuring on putting it in the same compartment as the leisure battery itself, but is it safe to do that? Don't see why not, but a little voice is telling me to ask and be safe.

Also, can anyone recommend a good wiring instruction manual? Do Haynes do one? Know a bit to be dangerous, but would prefer not to be dangerous to myself.

Cheers

The aux fuse box is best fitted as close to its power supply as possible, which usually means in the same compartment as the Leisure battery........

...although having spent most of yesterday fiddling about with mine exactly there - I wish I had it somewhere else (the remaining space is small and confined

Think about how you will mount it and access to repeatedly take it off and reattachc

I fixed mine under the passenger seat. Just move the seat forward to get to it. :D
