I've never driven a RHD, but I've seen a few pictures now of the RHD pedal arrangement and it looks a bit ...well ...uncomfortable.
With the LHD setup VW got it pretty much spot on from an ergonomical point of view. The pedals are right where they're supposed to be when your sitting comfortably and there is a lovey spot in the wheel arch to rest your clutch foot. Only the angle of the gas pedal gets a bit tiring on looong trips.
Looking at the RHD setup, it seems to me that the accelerator is very far to the right, so that you would have to move your leg from its natural sitting position. Would I be right? And what about the clutch? Is there room for your foot to the left?
Looks to me like you guys pulled the short straw when they "designed" the RHD setup

Driven both RHD and LHD for many years in the Army, little Mini's to big TCV,s.
Had no problems with either nor with the Right Hand gear change.

So it's just the pictures then that make it look awkward ... all the better.
