Water Tank

Post by sabcully »

Hi Peeps

could anybody tell me the best way to clean the water tank without removing the tank itself?
Van has not been used much and there was still water in it when we bought it.

Thanx

:)

swagger into your nearest caravan accessory shop, and pick up a pot of "puriclean" , then tip the right amount, according to the size of your tank into a jug, mix with warm water, and tip into your empty water tank, add about a quarter of the total capacity of clean cold water and drive about for a hour, then leave it to do its stuff for another 23hours, pump it out via the tap , to clean the pipes upto and including the tap, fill with clean water, and pump out again, then fill up, job done.

dont be tempted to use milton or other maternity sterilising fluid, they are harmfull to your water pump and tap if it metal.

Splendid, thanx so much.
Was wondering if there was some sort of chemical available, which would not kill you.

Will do as soon as van comes back from VW doc.

:ok
