Hi,
As a new member, please bear with me if this has been asked before (can't see anything on the search though). My van is a 1985 RHD tin top. It was originally a 1900 petrol, but has at some point been converted to a 1.6 diesel. I have the engine number etc and think the engine is a 'CS'. Is there a site / info page where I can enter the engine number to confirm this so I can order any parts needed in the future? Cheers guys.

Re: Diesel engine type query
Thanks a lot Kev - I looked at this earlier and the info led me to believe I've got a CS, but I wondered if there is anywhere I can type in my engine number for absolute confirmation. Main reason is I need a new oil filler neck and cap, but haven't got a part number and can't see it in any catalogues...

oh dear..... its a dg (in other words its still a 1.9 petrol) have you filled it with fuel yet??
are you reading the engine number from the logbook or the actual engine? read it from the engine.....
