I have a 1.6td jx engine in the van, the glowplugs have been changed but the van is smoking black on startup then this goes away when started can anyone tell me what might be the cause of the smoking?

The simplest thing to eliminate would be by having the injectors checked (spill tested) then cleaned which would be part of the testing process .....
Search for your local diesel injection service centre and ask for a price..........
