She is a 1.6 TD ex Mersey Ambulance, but has been converted quite a few years ago, it is a home job, but looks reasonable.
It has also been handpainted, but isn't the worst job, i was planning to paint it myself using the new fangled roller technique being bandied around. Most of the seams and windows are very good, however the n/s rear arch, inner and outer are shot, both front steps need looking at, and where the dummy filer is there is a battery isolator which has rusted round...was going to remove and replace with good panel anyways, and underneath the actual fuel filler...it has some ally riveted to it and right at the bottom where the panel meets the arch it's just started to go.....sounds bad, but it really isn't, the usual front panel, gutter and seam rash are happily not evident, and all doors and tailgate are rock soild.
The engine has just had the headgasket replaced, whilst the head was off it was tested and thoroughly and professionally cleaned, it now runs really well, but does have the lovely agricultural diesel noise, the water pump is currently being replaced, as is the tensioner pulley and cambelt.
Downsides are the 4x4 system is untested, the vehicle has never had a prop since i bought it, it does however have both difflocks, so that's a good point.
She also has an Eberspacher heater which should be working very soon, just trying to find out why it's not firing.
As you can see she also sports the nice rare genuine VW fitted roof, which i didn't like at first, but has grown on me.
No T+T at present, depending on what people want will depend on whether i do it or not, i can get the welding done to a good standard, but this will push the price up.
Oh, i forgot, she is showing 93k miles, which judging by the overall condition of interior and exterior, and looking at its' past occupation, i would say is correct.
I'm in no hurry to sell, it's just a turning point like i say....if someone is after something similar, i'll let her go now.....if not, i'll keep her and have some fun spending money

Some pics for your pleasure......
