Just lost my tailpipe! - Carb Refurb

Post by albertramsbottom »

Hi

Just noticed that I have lost my tail pipe and I have an appointment with Steve at Gasure this saturday for a carb refrub.

Will this make a difference? Will they still be able to set the carbs up properly without a tail pipe?

Cheers

Always better with a full exhaust system in place but shouldn't cause major problems in terms of a tuneup.

I had the same problem two weeks ago! Steve did his best but didn't have the pipe or the other bits I needed. The van ran pretty poorly until i got it fixed later. Admittedly I also had a sheared manifold nut. Tailpipes are a tenner at GSF - take one with you for Steve to fit.
