leisure battery with water in?!?

I've got a leisure battery that i've left outside for a very long time and when i move it water swishes around in it.

I know batterys have distilled water in but is this rain water and if so is it ruined

There is no voltage coming from it and dont have a charger to try it with.

Should it go to the tip or is it redemable?

If it's been left for that long, outside or not, it's damaged internally beyond conventional recharging. There are devices you can get that desulphate the plates inside and bring the battery back to near new, I'm currenty in the process of making one for work as they use a lot of batteries!
With the water getting into the battery as well, I would say it's time for a new one.

I always thought rainwater was as good as distilled water , it actually is .

not saying battery isn't kaput if it's been outside standng for a while it may well be , give it a good charge 12 hours trickle, check voltage when disconnected leave for 24 hours and check voltage , see if it holds a charge on its own .

Batteries are like desireable women. Leave them unattended for too long and they go duff or AWOL!
