Fuel tank breather pipe grommets

Post by zanzibaa »

1.9DG Fuel tank connectors - where from?

No idea as to how, but that is what my fuel loss problem turned out to be - broken T piece connector bits that are on top of the tank and feed the two smaller tanks.

Question is - where can you get them? Need to stop leaving so much petrol on the floor of the filling station, id rather it was in the tank!

Cheers

I got all the tank seals from Volkspares (over the counter) but didn't need the connectors so not sure - might be worth a call.

The topic title said grommets and the first post mentioned broken t-piece connector bits and not a broken t-piece

And the y-piece is not seperate. check vagcat again and you will see it comes as one part which incorporates both y-pieces and the connecting pipe

thanks for the info. oops forget grommets..

yes precisely it is the Y piece connector/splitter which does come as a pair with the pipe inbetween. JK doesnt seem to have, nor volkspares and apparantly VW stopped too.

ive tried everywhere! ..even half an hour in B&Q!

megabug getting back to me so will post back..

if there was a scrap bus lying at the bottom of the road eh..
