dip beam not working, any ideas

Post by Gunslinger »

Hi all
My dipped beams decided to stop working last night. The side lights and high beam are fine. The bulbs are fine too as I ran a feed from the switch live directly to the fuse box and they worked so the fault seems to lie somewhere between switch and fusebox I guess.
I'm thinking poss faulty swith.
Anyone else had similar?

Thanks for your help

Gunslinger,
You seem to have answered your own question. If you can check the switch terminals with a multimeter.
56 is the live (You already knew that :D)
56 b should be live in the dipped position
56 a is main beam.

Thanks for the info Mike. I shall check that out later. I thought it was the switch but nice to get confirmation from someone with similar experience.
