Awning fixing with a day awning?
How do people fix a drive away awning to your van when you have an Orminstor or Fiamma pull/wind out awning as well. The brackets for the Orminstor on mine get in the way for the gutter fixing supplied with my Khyam. You can see the fixing brackets just behind the front door and just behind the rear window. Normally you would attach the awning via the figure of eight and it would come further forward than the front bracket.

Cheers

isn't there an open P slot in the Orminstor ? there is one on a fiamma , failing that just put the awning over the top of the wind/roll -out

I've got the same set up but my khyam came without the 8 ring thingy so first time use involved slinging guys over the roof. Didn't quite get the weatherproof seal I was hoping for.
Will you get that close attachment if you put it over the wind out awning tho?

Not quite sure what you mean Sarah.
I have had a look and I don't appear to have a P attachment.

Wind out the fixed awning a bit, lay the piped edge of the drive-away over the front edge of the fixed one and then wind the fixed one back in ? I've seen it done on a friends' van, but can't remember which fixed awning they had, (so it may not work on yours)

Re: Awning fixing with a day awning?
There should be a circular groove (does that make sense) running the length of the omnistor on the part that winds out,
this is where you slide your awning bead into. The bead may be too big but you can buy an adaptor which slides into the groove, then attatches to your awning with figure 8 strips. Try fishbrain.biz

Re: Awning fixing with a day awning?
Put the Kyham up and it has 5 D rings for attaching guy ropes and throwing over the van if you don't have another way of attaching the awning. I have made up 5 stretchy loops with a toggle on the end that will go through the D rings around Orminster awning and hooks back onto the toggle. The stretchy rope I got from B&Q for £3. The toggles I made out of the white blocks you use to fix a cupboard together. You could also use a penny washers for the toggles. Hope that makes sense.
Cheers
