The dreaded drip!!!AGH!!

Post by minke »

I read the wiki on the dreaded drip from the rear vents..when I bought my van the two boxes had soggy wet sponge in there.. I took out the sponge & clean & dried & coated the interior.

NOW I GOT THE DRIP..dont wanna put the sponge back. When camping now i get a bit of plastic & gaffa tape it up, but I read on the wiki a couple of remedies. Cant fathom out sorry guys not much good at Origami..Duh !..

Anyone got any pics of how they have solved this prob...apart from welding up the damned hole.

Much appreciated......Kev..

Thanks "A"...just forgot to mention my van is water cooled, so the vents are really a little bit pointless I imagine.

I bought some magnetic sheet and just slap it over the vents when its raining or if the van is laid up, theres a pic somewhere in the camping forum. Works a treat but I have trimmed them down since then as they were far too large!

I can take credit for the site but not the idea. worked a treat for me.

I never had the drips during rain it seemed to happen afterwards or when the van was condensing in fog etc
