Replacing cooker and frige gas lines. 10mm okay?

Post by sirivor70 »

Hi all.
Am replacing the gas line feeds to the fridge and stove in my 87 Westy. Have to flare them etc. and that is no problem.

Question I have is, though the old pipes are 8mm, I have some 10mm from another project lying around. If I flare that, do you think it might do? :?:

Many thanks...

You will lose pressure if you use a larger diametre pipe, they were made in 8mm for a reason,

One last question folks. What type of fitting do people use to connect the 8mm pipe to the regulator or junction? My van (vanagon from the US) has the flared type arrangement. Is it compression type fittings that are in use here?

Many thanks
