hi in the haynes book of lies it says to remove engine remove the oil filler tube ....how ..i have pushed pulled tryed to twist it dont move
i need to drop engine and it will not come out with the tube still fixed i have had a go at removing it at engine block end cant get a spanner in to undo one the nuts
any tricks or is it brute force

god did not let us invent metal to only make paper clips v6 camper not in his plan that was my idea.

like u said, it's all lies! I had the same issue and turns out that you cannot remove the filler tube on it's own. You need to take it off at the block as you've already tried. I know it's hard to get a spanner on one of the bolts, but I managed to do it somehow - probably ended up trying several different spanners. good luck.

you really have to drop the exhaust cover plate with the engine which is held on by 4 m6 bolkts into rivnuts which usually won't undo but if slackened off enough will allow the plate to be freed and come down with the engine.
or you can drop engine and box together more room for it to go forward and clear the exhaust cover but the filler cannot be split and can't easily be removed due to access to the bolts holding it to engine, crescent spanner will reach the inner nut but even then can still be a t... to remove
