Next step
Get a nice shiny new 0% credit card for those emergency repairs and must have bargains that often creep up on us all
Enjoy the van, use it as much as you are able to. Keep up the good maintenance and polishing schedule that looks to have been lavished on your van by its previous owners.
Don't panic, put the kettle on, take the phone off the hook and read as much as possible on here; even if it doesn't seem relevant now it may well "sink in" and give a bit of inspiration if & when anything crops up.

Lundun
fair enough!
Get a Haynes manual (or the Bentley one, it's a bit pricey tho!) read the Wiki ^ and ask the folk in tech (I spend more time in tech than any of the other sections, it's a good place to learn stuff
(Also the tech pages on Just Kampers and VZI, Rob and Dave's web site (or is that Dave and Rob?) There's loads of info out there

I bought a 2 berth caravan cover , but hardly ever use it unless I park the van under tress in my back garden,,,stop that sappy stuff getting on it. But most times its out in the open..rustin away..
Buy yourself a pressure washer & gently wash the crud out from under & around the wheel arches & keep em clean, check if there is any rust & vactan it. & waxoyl & should get many happy years camping.
When washing it the pressure washer gets all the crud out of those inaccessable nooks & crannies. Then dow the giving it a good wax wash & more wax & elbow grease & she'll do yer proud.

Hi. Keep it washed and waxed. Repair stone chips. Clean out leaves/dead birds etc from crevices. In winter wash underneath to remove road salt (not powerhose). Find a good vw mechanic, the van will tell you when it needs serviced. (smokers cough or it will wet itself). Buy a carbon monoxide alarm. Have fun.

Hi Mate
It appears washing and waxing is King. I guess i've been a tad worried with all the rain and i've never bought a 20yr old campervan before that can be prone to rust.........................do you reccomend any particular wax?
