no i am not clever enough to make my own panels, i got it from schofieds an it is terrible. the front part of the arch is so poor i am glad i did not have to use it, the rear part is pretty rough, lots of ripples and dents in it, i had a go at it with hammer and dolly but i think it will need a skim of bondo. on a positive note, the rust is gone :P

:ok good un!, looks as though that corrosion started from the rear, had the underseal parted company with the panel ricicles?

not realy, had to hammer and chislle the sealant off, rust was bad around the seam. also the top corner of the arch. i welded a plate in at the bottom of the door pillar as well, where the arch intrudes into the van if you know what i mean. the mud sat on top of the fuel expansion tanks was horific, i always had my worries about this area so used to hose it down well, but it was still blocked with mud, lukily the seatbelt points look good, cab steps next.
i have often said that ignorance is bliss  i now wonder if it just saves you some time in the short run :ok

I use cupped wire brush attachments(for angle grinders) to remove underseal and underbody compounds, it will remove it in a jiff and take you down to bare metal. Have to wear a sefety visor as it flies all over the place but fast and effortless!
