Heavy on the steering....

Post by soulboynumber1 »

Hi All

Just a quick ditty, only been member for 2 days and this is my second post...........this is a very addictive place?

When i bought my van the other day a 1989 Autohomes (i'm actually picking it up next weekend) it was heavy on the steering when parking, however it was a piece of p*** to drive. Is this the norm for T25 vans when it comes to steering? Although maybe the front tyres needed some air?

That's about the long and short of it...T25's without power steering are fairly heavy to steer at low speeds. New tyres will help, larger standard steering wheel also has the additional leverage and of course proper tyre inflation...but steering is still heavy when manouvering.

I have wide wheels and find it easier to slightly over inflate the tyres!
