recovery points?

been looking at the possibilty of attaching some additional points to the front anyone done this or any suggestions?

Yes, the factory recovery points are only a few quid. I had one welded to the other side on my Kombi. If you do this you'll need make another cut-out in the front bash tray.

will look at it any one tried jate rings or any of the stuff used on landrovers ?

JATE rings are designed to bolt to the main chassis rails of a coil sprung landy as a direct replacement of the standard crappy towing eye - won't have thouse mountings points just waiting for them on a syncro so you'll have to put some in, and as the syncro doesn't have exposed main rails like that I think it could be quite a hassle making them fit, if you have to mod the JATE ring itself to fit it best start from something else and avoid paying LR scene tax (theres probubly some out there made of chequerplate for no decent resion).

How strong is the original front eye? Anyone managed to rip one off? If they are really tough then a second with a decent bridle between them should be plenty, and they don't really get in the way, something bigger could reduice aproch.
