gettin 35ish mpg with the 1y...is that about right

yo dudes....been askin the missus for 6 months to write down her mileage to work out a rough mpg.......finally did it and shes gettin 35-37mpg round town out of a 1y 1.9 diesel holdsworth toptop......does this sound about right to you guys????????????

i dont know iggy but i just fitted the same engine and havnt really been out in it,but if i get that ill be well chuffed :ok

Sounds right to me me ode. Thats what i was getting.

Get it above 65 and that will drop to around 30...

Not bad for a cheap engine is it!

thats good to know matey......after doin th'head gasket the other week ah wanted a rough idea,cause you hear bite some horror stories on ere ah folks gerrin 15-20 mpg....ah couldnt afford run eet if it was doin them numbers....im now glad i held out and waited for a diesbag,even tho it was a rayt knacker when i bought eet,...as the missus uses eet everyday and carts people round owtime and its used as a f****n mobile tee van for me lads rugby team!!!. im quite chuffed with it to be honest.its a lodda bus and not a great deal a osses.......and as for cheap.....christ i only paid £150 off fleabay for the lump....+£30 delivery!!!............now arm outta work n strugglin with brass....avin a cheap to run,cheap to maintain motor doin 30+ will do me just chipper....should keep the owd bow n chain happy for years
