Fab van, I had my eye on a similar but budget wouldn't stretch. I like the colour scheme too.

Ended up with a green outside and brown inside colour scheme and I'm loving it!

Welcome to the wonderful world of VeeeeeeeDubbb!

Thanks for all the positive comments....today is the day :D I will be making the 200mile round trip to collect it/him/her this evening. Challenge 1: getting home without breaking down! :? Can't believe its given rain out all week, I want to polish and clean bits that don't need polishing and cleaning!
I'll let you know if it makes it.......

Tip = take your time, V-dubbing in a camper is all about relaxing and de-stressing.
The holiday starts as soon as you leave home, not when you get to your destination !!

Stop of on the way back and make a cup of tea - it's all about "bonding"

Brew on the way back sounds like a great idea! I'm really looking forward to the drive actually.
Yea I certainly want to get to some shows and meet some fellow owners. I will see whats coming up soon.
I was told the heater worked pretty well but I forgot to try it while on the test drive; it took all my concentration to keep that 50bhp under control  The guy selling it has been really straight with me though so have no reason to doubt it.
Chester... do you know this van then??

good luck with it m8
looks a lovely van. as said take your time with it as its 30 year old technology and wont like being abused. try to avoid dampness in the interior as the wood is weetabix and if damaged with moisture will fall apart. very functional tho and a very nice van, welcome aboard 8)

I was just joshing about the heater, many of the a/c vans heaters don't work due to the nature of the beast !

No I don't know it - I take it from that it lives up our way then ? (until tonight of course :))

Yea the vans from Chester - the guys had it 12 years.

Its always been garaged.... I really don't want to have to drive it in all this forecast rain!

Guess I'll soon find out about the heaters... and how good bad the headlights are as it'll be dark before I get back to Derby. They could both be rubbish and it still won't wipe the smile off my face :D

Ultimately you could do the headlight relay mod as detailed in wiki, thats on my to do list. In the meantime fit halogen, high output bulbs. You can buy them with the standard bulb type fitting
