Westy Leisure battery LHD

Hi Guys,

I'm sure this has been answered loads, but I can't find it there is stuff in wiki but not directly related to Westfalia. Just looking for some tips on getting the battery out from under the drivers seat, do I have to take the seat out?

The drivers side battery(leisure battery) on our westy just needs the seat pushing forward to gain access.

The normal battery is under the passenger seat on ours, which needs the seat pushing forward & rotating 180deg' to gain access.

Our westy driver's side battery requires sliding seat off of runner, turning base 180, opening cover, and removing battery. It just clears! Passenger side seat can be turned 180 and slid all the way back and battery just clears.
