batterys rather than buying new ,the local car breakers has loads of new/accident damaged cars in, any hints as to which car battery will fit 1984 1.9 dg t25

I think its mainly a question of dimensions and terminal type. With a new one you know you have with luck about 4 years possibly up to 6 at least of good starting ahead of you. That's about £15 a year to know your van is going to start. Depends on what they charge for a secondhand one and any history of it.
