Hi, I've been good and searched the forums first!
Just bought a Transporter, going to paint with rustoleum easter weekend after prepping this weekend.
The cab door outer rubbers are shot so want to replace them. Just Campers are charging £18 for just the lower part, which for a little bit of rubber is a bit steep.
Does anyone know of some good cheap alternatives for these?
Thanks
Michael

the very very cheapest alternative...if its just the look of the outside your bothered about is to swap the left side ones for the right.then the inside rubbers will be on the outside..i did this the other day and im well pleased, the window scrapers and the top bit are interchangeable

the word 'pissing' is safe

Anyone know where you can get the chrome insert that runs around the middle of the window seals? Mine has them but the inserts are now just a cloudy plastic.
I've searched online but all I can come up with is some insert piping for a bug front windscreen
Cheers

Re: Alternative Window Rubbers / Trims
Thanks, I don't think that will work, my long rubbers are looking a little more like cubes. I'll have a look at various generic trims and see what I can find.weldore wrote:the very very cheapest alternative...if its just the look of the outside your bothered about is to swap the left side ones for the right.then the inside rubbers will be on the outside..i did this the other day and im well pleased, the window scrapers and the top bit are interchangeable
