Windscreen removal

Post by munnyella »

Hi

I want to remove my front and rear screens prior to paint prepping, anyone got any tips, I can cut the ones on my van, but want to save the seals on the `doner' van. (I would also quite like to not break the glass!!)

Done a search on the WIKI, but nothing appeared.

They are all rubber seals, no chrome trim.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Sorry mate...use new seals, the old ones will be hard and inflexible so won't re-seal very well.

Cool, found it now, seems like you take the glass and seal out of the hole then, not the glass from the seal, shall have a go tomorrow, wish me luck

Unfortunately, mine are the ones without beading, I imagine they are so much easier, they were on the side windows that I took out this morning!!
