I want like a spray or gel to apply to rusty parts of the underside of my van. Just like something to shift the rust easier as sanding it seems to take forever. Any ideas or advice will be much apprechiated as im sure your all rust experts !!! :) cheers

i have had a go with the hammerite gel. on surface rust it worked in the end, had to keep adgitating it then it has to be washed off with water. left a clean rust free surface. i wonder if you are better getting stuck in with a wire brush then using waxoil or dinitrol over the top.put loads into the chassis rails while you are at it. is the only way of getting rid of the rust an acid dip for the whole body?

thanks im gonna give the hammerite stuff a try and ive got a attachment with a wire brush like the one pictured that i could put in my cordless drill. I just wanna get rid of the surface rust then i can stop crying everytime i look at the underside of my van !!! haha. Id love to be able to sand the whole van down but i just love the paintwork too much ! I shall also inject the panels and nooks and crannies with waxoyl i think.
