Front Brake Backing/splash Plates

Post by mikey9 »

1990 T25mine have crumbled like dust when investigating a scraping sound. Any wiggling will have em fall off completely (bits already have.

Any suggestions of sources other than VW (will try them Monday)

Non at Brickwerks
Non at JK

One suggestion of late bay ones needing a bit of amendment.

Any other advice?

I guess if they were important - then someone would be producing a copy at least....

Any other opinions - nothing like the rear brake backing plates then which I think are an MOT fail is they crumble to dust....!

Off to check fleabay.

Like Mark says they rot and fall off and you don't even notice ... never felt any difference on ours and they went years ago

Course in an ideal world you'd replace them :|
