When I got home from work this evening the van is shaking at tickover, if I give it a few revs its OK, I'm not sure why but I suspect the N/S engine mount, its a 1.6td. Ticking over at about 1000rpm so not low enough to cause probs and been fine before. Any ideas please before I rip off all the under engine tin work in the rain this weekend.

Re: shaking at tickover
Hi,
More often than not it can be caused by a slightly worn Diesel pump, Injector fault, Weak engine mounting......or If I was you I would run some FORTE injector cleaner through it.....Cheapest fix for now.....Diesels will soldier on for many years like this.....The Ford Transit would rock it self to sleep
after they have done 300k.....
Glenn.

Life is not a rehearsal...Live life to the max....Buy a Aircooled VW and get covered in Rust and Oil.......But we all love it really....!!

Re: shaking at tickover
Thanks all, dropped the tickover down a bit and bobs your uncle. Tried it on the throttle afterwards and its lumpy between about 1100 and 1250rpm idling sweet now at about 900 and still driving sweet. Its about time it had some injector cleaner and tank is low so perfect opportunity
