2litre Aircooled engine what else will fit?
hi could sombody please fell me which engine will drop straight in my 1981 automatic T25, my current engine looks like it may have bitten the dust, it is Aircooled 1970cc on an auto box, any help much appreciated, or do you know where i can get a second hand engine cheers alan 07922 363468 or 0151 327 3001 alannixon380@btinternet.com

The only engine that will drop straight in is another CU 2lte Aircold, Go any other way is dependent on how deep your pockets are,
Mine was an 1982 Aircold but I did a complete conversion ( come project in the end )

years ago on my first T3 we fitted a WO code 1700 injection engine, 85 bhp instead of 68bhp from the CU motor
I bought the whole car, and swapped everything in, rehoming the brain, was the most annoying bit of it, as I didn't want to unplug the cable from the brain, just incase
it made a big difference to the bus
it's almost a straight swap, appart from finding a home for the brain
