High top roof

Post by nmac68 »

As a newbie to the site I am hoping someone out there can help me out and provide some desirable information. I'm in the process of refurbing (new paint job/interior fittings/roof) a '90 T25 converted panel van with steel roof and would like to fit a high top. I cant justify the cost of a pop top and also feel a high top would be more practical - I dont think aerodynamics are an issue here! Having scoured the internet the only supply/fitter I can find is Timber Technicians (good reviews so no probs with them) in Nottingham - being based in SW Devon I was hoping to find someone a bit closer to home to reduce travelling time as the van will have to be left at the fitters. The roof that is advertised on their website is exactly the sort of thing that I am looking for (windows/vent etc). Many thanks in advance.
:ok

Hi, welcome to 80-90 :D

Why not enter your location in your profile then peeps know where you're from and then, if you like, you can register to become a 'member' so you can access the MO section.

Anyway, found this on ebay. It's a little closer to you than Notts. Maybe worth contacting them as the picture shows a T4 but, it does say that they do T3/25 as well.

I suggest you join Club 80-90.. Click on 'Membership' at top of page and follow the instructions.

As mininut suggested, let us know where you live. There is a meet Easter weekend at Fox & Hounds in Bridestowe. You are welcome to camp, visit, have a few pints and discuss different tops, interiors, etc. with us there. :ok

Thanks to all for quick replies - have considered advice given and will look to take up membership shortly.

I think the camping option will be the way ahead.

As for the easter weekend meet - unfortunately work always seems to get in the way of leisure/pleasure!!

Watch ebay ...secondhand high tops come on every now and again. I got mine a few weeks ago for £150 with all the lining beds ect. I will be fitting it myself in a couple of weeks.
