Help - Diesel Injector Pipe configuration

Post by Jim Green »

Hi,

I initially purchased a replacement injector pipe from Gunzl for cylinder 4 for my 1.6td JX (1990 Westfalia) as the original nut has siezed onto the pump and in trying to remove it the pipe has bent. Received the replacement but it is a different configuration to the original so I ended up ordering replacements for cylinders 1 - 3 as well.

I now have all four replacements and they are all different shapes to the originals fitted. Prior to trying to fit them can anyone tell me if this is normal?? as the configuration of the originals make more sense than the replacements.

I'm starting to go round the bend with this one as a simple glow plug replacement has turned into a nightmare.

Please help!!!

Jim.
