New day new problem.!

Post by vdubstar »

At the weekend i lost my indictors! just stopped working (also noticed my light was loose so tighted it possible about the same time stopped working - on holiday near the sea!) anyway got home my mechanic guy has checked the bulbs and any obvoius signs all seem fine checked haynes and fuses seem fine, all dry at back as we can see ( even hair dryed it just in case!) then pulled out flasser unit relay and one bit was burnt out so off to G&s got the bit for £8 popped in back in and,.............. still the same... The indicator glows green when i put it on but no indictors at all? my flashers work and brakes and all other lights apart from aparently i have no reverse lights (not sure if at same time blew or before tho!)

So any idea's to try my mechinic is coming back round 2moro he is trying to get a detailed picture of the fuse box so no's whats what! But any other input or eperince as your good selves are good at is very welcomed!

I had a similar problem, I too replaced the relay first, but this didn't solve it, mine turned out to be the hazard warning switch causing the problem. I swapped that for a new one from GSF and all working again. Only thing is that the one I was supplied from GSF didn't fit the aperture in the dash correctly, so I had to cut the apperture to get it to fit, doesn't look the best but it got it through the MOT. Not sure if they just supplied me with the wrong part or if that is the only one they stock, I was in a rush to fit for the MOT on the monday and my local GSF don't open on sunday.
