shower idea for my van

Post by dwayne »

I was clearing out my tool shed today and came across an old 12v submersible pump and a while later a shower head which got the cogs whirring in my brain so I connected it up with a bucket of water , fantastic shower it gave .

So what I want to do is have an attachable shower curtain that goes all around the rear door when raised I would then affix the shower head to the door and wire it up with a switch and plug inside the rear cupboard , so I can switch it off when soaping and on again to rinse .

What do you guys think , good idea or bad ? if bad ..... reasons why

Might be an idea for rinsing off muddy boots or the likes but where would the water drain to?

It's an excellent idea. We used exactly he same idea last year to shower the 2-yr old. Easier cos we didn't need the bother of curtains! We later used the privacy of the awning for grownups. I think you idea would work well though.

Brilliant ! I use my van for two day motorcross events and the solar showers are not brilliant. Thanks for posting the maplins link and the guy who started the thread.

A lot of the larger motorhomes have external shower points and they are really useful, especially when you come back from the beach or it's muddy :ok

Wait until the 25th of March, where the price drops to £10 for the Maplin's shower

Pour a kettle of hot water in a bucket, add cold water to mix - stick the Maplin's thing in and you'll have a satisfying shower! :ok

I've got maplins shower, so long as you don't want anything long and luxurious it works a treat.
Never sure where I'm going till i get there.
