poss. but not much point.
The top gearing is nearly the same on both boxes.

I try and do the changes in line with the little orange dot's on the speedoo.
Make things a bit smother.

Re: Aircooled 4-5 speed conversion
nice to know I'm not the only one who goes by the dots... I couldn't figure out if they are a max speed for that gear or a recommended changing point though....
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

Re: Aircooled 4-5 speed conversion
I've always held it that the dots are the recommended change points. Does anyone know which speedo module was supplied for 2.0l a/c vans? I have an 820, but it was originally a 1.6 - wondering if the dots are at different places. Mine are at 14, 26 and 42 mph.

Re: Aircooled 4-5 speed conversion
I have a 2.4 air cooled so the dots are of little use now, I just change gear judging by the noise !!

see mine used to be a 1.6, it seems to scream at the dots tbh!
