Thinking of doing a 5 speed conversion on my 2.0 cu engined bus. is it possible and which box would i need ect? Cheers! :D

poss. but not much point.

The top gearing is nearly the same on both boxes.

Had a feeling that might be the case, just seems long legged between 2nd and third, if ya catch it wrong on a hill thats it! cheers for the fast reply! :ok

I try and do the changes in line with the little orange dot's on the speedoo.

Make things a bit smother.

i used to push ours abot five to ten mph past them there dots, seemed to do it ok!!!

nice to know I'm not the only one who goes by the dots... I couldn't figure out if they are a max speed for that gear or a recommended changing point though....
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

I've always held it that the dots are the recommended change points. Does anyone know which speedo module was supplied for 2.0l a/c vans? I have an 820, but it was originally a 1.6 - wondering if the dots are at different places. Mine are at 14, 26 and 42 mph.

I have a 2.4 air cooled so the dots are of little use now, I just change gear judging by the noise !!

see mine used to be a 1.6, it seems to scream at the dots tbh! :shock:
