Aircooled Engine to Watercooled Gearbox Help Needed

Hi, Can Anyone help me ?

I want to put an Aircooled cu or cj engine into my watercooled T25 van, and keep my watercooled gearbox, originally had a dg engine.

what I need to know is - will it mate with the gearbox ?

Is the watercooled input shaft the same as the Aircooled ?

Would there be any clutch problems ?

or will I have to use an Aircooled gearbox ?

input shaft is same, bellhousing is same, they will mate, but the shift rods from the stick to the box are different and the chassis is too so you'll need the wbx shift rods and may have to mod the chassis to accept them.
Why put an Aircooled engine in ?

I think he means Aircooled engine to WBX gearbox if so the existing linkage is retained.So are there any issues like bellhousing to CU engine position that would effect mating up as compares to WBX
