that was my first thought of where to put it..its on a seam so its really sturdy(unless theres no seam to be sturdy).but when i read about putting it where i have the pro's well out weighed the con's..well i couldnt see any con's.it sits under the rear door so theres no rain running down on to it and its out the way...you can run the cable round the bumper and to the floor so no-one will stand on it in the middle of the night in a drunken stupper while wizzing on it
just seemed right...you can see the hole for it if you look close

hehehe I have seen many a drunkard wazzing up vans - many of which aint even theirs! Last show I went to a mate was trying to wee up the side of his tent and them moved onto someones splitty and ended up just 'hanging out' in the middle of a ring of vans
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!
now ive moved that there ive had another idea
if i ever need to charge up me leisure or starter battery ive got to take everything out the boot and lift the lid and if its the leisure one ive got to move the starter one to get to it......i was thinking maybe a box back there with 2 sockets in it to run to each battery...then make up a lead that plugs into it and the other end has connectors for the charger...just an idea tho

can i have a look see???
i was looking at the hook up box and i think i can incorperate 2 small (like the ones on the back of your laptop) sockets in there..they would be out of the way and water tight-ish too

why not hard wire the charger in, with a switch to change between batterys, so when you want to charge, just plug the hook up in, and throw the switch in the direction of the battery you want to charge??
is that how the zigs work...sounds a better idea than mine, ive seen some zig control panels on shebay for around 35 quid but money is tight at the moment..just a simple 3 way switch would be just the job
maplins here i come..well tomorrow anyway
would be able to charge onsite too at the flick of a switch..nice one
now all i need is one of them things that you type in the word/s and it prints it out on sticky plastic strips ,to name everything

well thats all i did in mine, but instead of spending hard earned on a zig (which have very crude chargers of little amperage) i bought a good quality intelegent charger that maintains as well as charges automatically, so everytime i plug into hook up it has the ability to charge either battery at the flick of that 3 way switch, up for main battery, middle off, botton leisure battery. Just have to remember to switch it to the middle when not plugged in, or the charger is illuminated.
i also have a 30 amp 12v Power supply hard wired in via a relay so all the 12v stuff is powered from that instead of the leisure battery when plugged in , auto switching.
i should say at this point i have only 2 mains outlets in the camper and the fridge , everything else is 12v only.
gonna have to 'get out there' and have a look and get some ideas me thinks.me dad used to have campers all the time,he was an electrician and also did resprays on cars and engine repairs..why o why didnt i take an interest when he was still here.cheers mocki your way is the best idea..proberbly everyone else on here has done it that way..its just me again!!

I thought about doing it that way, but then I "found" two Mil Spec quick-released bulkhead connectors and a matching plug so I went my way.
