Putting fuel tank back on.
Just put fuel tank back on this afto. after protracted coolant pipe change . Have put in 4 gallons so far and needle has not budged a smidgin. Don't want to put more in as more to drain. Should it be showing by now ? Hopefully it's the connector come adrift when putting on but if not any other scenarios, the tank did get to a steep angle at one about 30 degrees stage when it slipped a bit on the jack. Will this job never end ? :(sorry wrong forum but don't know how to change it

Re: Putting fuel tank back on.
My guess with 4 US gallons (18 litres) should be showing roughly around the 1/2 way mark on the gauge.

you should be able to get your hand in there and reach the top of the fuel sender plug, youll only need to drop the tank down by an inch or so
when I've replaced them, I've fitted a new sender and rubber seal, just so I never need to get back under there
