Replacement Body Panels

Post by syncroy »

I need to replace the bottom section of the panel directly in front of the rear right hand wheel arch. You can get this section of the panel from JK, Alan Schofield or VWHeritage. Simple question, who makes the best panels or are they all much the same? Thanks.

I got one from schofields. it was good quality but like them all it has no flanges and is merely a patch plate.

Hi Shaun, The one on JK appears to have flanges (see link) or is this identical to the Alan Schofield one?

Schofields looks the same as JK, no flanges. I mean flanges to weld to the rest of the panel

However I cannot recall JK supplying Schofields as a lot of people complain about JK panels being rippled tin foil crap whereas nobody really complains about Schofields quality

Just used panels from JK to do the same area in front of wheel arch. Panels were 1st class and flanges fitted fi
No problems at all and same thickness & quality as Schofields a bit cheaper & postage too.

I have used both suppliers & have had no problems with either.

So I'm no help other than to say both have their merits and have good customer support :ok
If you can't weld it try bostic!!
