16"Syncro alloy wheels.. will they fit??

I want to fit some Merc ML alloys to my 16". They are 17" in diameter and 7.5" wide...so about the same size as the standard 16" steels that are on it at the mo ( the steels measure 17" diameter). But after reading so many posts on this subject, I am totally confused!!! Will these wheels fit without spacers??? If I do need spacers, then do I need to fit longer bolts??? Or can I use adaptors?? Reluctant to put tyres on the wheels unless I'm sure they will fit and will not catch when turning.

Have just found the size stamped on the inside of the ML alloys....16 x 6.5J47.....will these be ok????

No idea mate, but if they do fit and you want to sell your standard steel 16s, give us a shout

As far as I understand it, and I am still trying to learn as much as possible about this for personal use..., Yes, they'll fit but the offset is too high at 47

Reading this page on the wiki https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Wh ... _explained if you fit 10mm spacers to effectively reduce the offset to 37 it will make them useable.
There's also lots of info on the brick yard forum too http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum with some updates to the fitting notes regarding stud/bolt diameters on ML wheels

I am sure someone else can help more than me with this one, especially on what size tyres to go with & if it is definately possible to use these rims.

Andy, can you remember what length studs you fitted for the ML rims ?

Look's like I'll have to fit 16" rims to fit over the Audi front brakes I'm fitting. Though I prefer steelies, these ML rims seem pretty good value on Ebay.

Erm!!! 100mm if i remember with 20mm spacers! Makes the wheels sit out a bit better!
(Alloys are so last year man)
