weird folk on site

Post by getunder »

At Swanage a few years ago we used at site at Swanage. There was slight slope and we watched a caravan bloke scouring the site for about 2 hours for blocks for his caravan feet and ended up with 3 legs on blocks, the highest about 18" high to get it level. Looked a bit unstable.Mainly so that he could get at right angles to the hedge which was not mandatory. 2 days later and they were gone.We just pulled in parallel to the hedge with head end at highest point and used the small ramps we carry to get it as level as possible. Fridge still worked o.k. Why this obsession with end at right angles to the hedge ? .

we went camping last year for the first time in eddy at a small place in derbyshire for a couple of nights...just to see what it was like and to join up with gails sister and her hubby.we got there at night so i just parked the van about 15 foot from their caravan and the next day the owner said to me "your a bit close arnt you".i dint know what she was on about  i though she was paying me a compliment
turns out theres a distance you cant be under from one caravan to another..must be the gas thing.then i noticed she had coned an area for us to park and with it beig dark the night before i hadnt seen it.IT WAS CLOSER THAN WOT WE WAS PARKED!!!!!

Try telling that to the spangly parking nazi at some of the festies, as he tries to park the next camper about 2 feet from your side door!

i was thinking she could have been wrong.static caravans are no more than 15 ft apart usually.but if i remember correctly she did say the rule was 25mtrs apart !!! i would have had to get a taxi to gails sisters that far away !!!!
there was one other wierd thing though...her husband was buried and had a grave and headstone in the field we were parked in
